ITS OFFICIAL: Safaricom says you cannot unplug Home Fibre, carry the router to another house, and keep using the month you already paid for.

The service is installed for your home. The router is part of that setup. So the internet is tied to the house, not to you.

Which means this is normal now:

You have paid.

The days are still running.

You travel upcountry for two weeks.

You take the router with you, and the internet you already bought becomes useless because you slept in the wrong building.

Phone data follows you from Nairobi to the village. Home Fibre stays behind like it belongs to the plot, not the person paying. Why?

And that is the part that does not add up.

If you officially move, Safaricom can relocate the line to another fibre-ready area. So the service can move. It just cannot move when you need it for a short stay.

I honestly believe this rule is unfair.
