Gachagua Heads to US for Rest and Diaspora Engagements

Former Deputy President and DCP leader Rigathi Gachagua has left Kenya for the United States, where he says he will take a 10-day break to rest, meditate, pray, read and spend quality time with his wife, Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.

After the break, Gachagua is scheduled to engage Kenyans in the diaspora across Spokane, Portland, Kansas, Dallas and Boston, with the wider US tour running into October.

Gachagua has also indicated that the extended stay will give him time to reflect and make political decisions away from what he describes as undue influence from his political associates.

The trip comes as political parties and opposition leaders intensify preparations and negotiations ahead of the 2027 General Election.
