ETHIOPIA IS BURNING AGAIN AND THE WHOLE HORN OF AFRICA IS WATCHING🚨🚨🚨

Ethiopia's civil war has restarted.

Fighting broke out last week between federal forces and the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF). Government troops are pushing north toward Mekelle, the regional capital.

The 2022 Pretoria peace agreement is shattered.

The conflict has spread to neighbouring Amhara and Afar. Seven armed groups have announced an alliance to overthrow Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.

Four years after a war that killed an estimated 600,000 people, the country is back on the brink.

The timing is dangerous. Sudan is at war. Somalia is unstable. The Red Sea is a battlefield. Ethiopia is the anchor of the region, and it is collapsing.

Here is what makes it worse.

Foreign powers are already in the game.

The UAE and Israel back Ethiopia. Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt support Eritrea. Egypt is also accused of backing Tigrayan rebels. Eritrea is accused of doing the same.

None of them are officially fighting. All of them have interests.

Egypt wants to weaken Ethiopia because of the Nile dam dispute. The UAE wants to protect its investments. Turkey wants influence. Israel wants a friendly government in Addis Ababa.

Ethiopia is becoming a proxy battlefield.

The TPLF seized three airports. The federal government is bombing Tigray with drones. Civilians are being killed. Hospitals are overwhelmed. The internet is cut.

Thousands are already fleeing. Millions are at risk.

The first war left 900,000 internally displaced people in Tigray. Food aid has dropped by 50 percent. Starvation is already the leading cause of death.

If the war escalates, the humanitarian crisis will be catastrophic.

This is not just Ethiopia's problem.

When Ethiopia sneezes, the Horn of Africa catches a cold. Refugees will flood into Kenya, Sudan, Djibouti and Somalia. Trade routes will be cut. The region will burn.

The international community is calling for restraint. The African Union is calling for dialogue. The US is calling for de-escalation.

But statements do not stop tanks. Drones do not care about communiques.

Abiy Ahmed started this war. The TPLF is fighting back. The rebels are united. The federal army is stretched across three regions.

Ethiopia is fracturing.

And the world is watching.

What happens when the second most populous country in Africa collapses into civil war while foreign powers fund both sides.
