Instagram has introduced an AI-powered Pixel effect for Stories that can obscure selected people in photos, giving users a new way to “soft launch” relationships 👀❤️

Powered by Meta’s Muse Image technology, the effect lets users describe who or what they want pixelated using a text prompt, rather than manually covering someone with stickers or cropping them out. It is part of Instagram’s expanding collection of AI-powered Story effects.

While Meta did not specifically create Pixel for dating, its ability to keep someone visible while hiding their identity has quickly made it useful for relationship soft launches, though availability may still vary by region and account.

🚀 Meta Unveils Muse, Its New AI Assistant Designed to Get Things Done

Meta has launched Muse, a personal AI agent designed to do more than answer questions. The AI assistant can help users manage tasks, send emails, book travel, fill out forms and work toward long-term goals.

Launched on September 8, 2026, Muse operates through a dedicated app and WhatsApp, with Meta emphasizing security, privacy and user control over connected apps.

The technology marks Meta’s latest push into AI-powered assistants capable of taking action on behalf of users rather than simply providing information.

🌐 As AI continues to evolve, the question is no longer just what technology can tell us, but what it can actually do.
