The government has heightened surveillance and response measures in seven Kenyan counties following an outbreak of African Swine Fever (ASF), a highly contagious disease affecting pigs.

The counties listed among the most affected are #Kiambu, #Tharaka-Nithi, #Embu, #Kakamega, #Homa Bay, #Busia and #Migori.

Farmers in the affected areas are urged to remain vigilant and follow veterinary health measures to help contain the spread of the disease.
