Kalonzo Musyoka Leads Opposition Preference in Latest 2027 Poll
Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has emerged as the leading opposition candidate in a new survey on Kenya’s 2027 presidential race, according to a Swiss Poll International poll reported by Capital FM.
The survey places Musyoka at 22% nationally, putting him second overall behind President William Ruto, who leads with 31%.
Among respondents identifying with the opposition, Musyoka reportedly commands 41% support, making him the most preferred opposition candidate in the survey.
Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna follows with 13%, highlighting his growing profile within the opposition as political realignments continue ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The findings come amid fresh political shifts, including reports of ODM members in Kwale moving to the Linda Mwananchi Movement, which has attracted figures associated with the opposition, including Sifuna.
While opinion polls provide a snapshot of public sentiment at a particular moment, the figures are likely to fuel fresh debate over who should lead the opposition into the 2027 presidential contest.
